Screenshots have leaked of Microsoft's Windows Phone Blue update that
reveal the mobile operating system will be getting a notification
center.
Reddit user ChinaMan28 purchased a Lumia 920 off eBay only to find that it was running a unique operating system.
"Its
got a bunch of weird apps, has data sense, I can close background
tasks, here beta blue, seems it was someone who worked on the main
campus got his phone lost."
He has since posted screenshots of
the OS to Flickr which reveal a notification center, a redesigned
calendar interface, multitasking improvements, and numerous applications
that start with 'z'.
The software is version 12084.WPMAIN(wpbldlab).20130509-1407 which was compiled on May 9th. The Verge has confirmed that it is a legitimate version of Windows Phone Blue.
Apple
debuted its notification center for iOS 5 in October 2011. It was
added to OS X Mountain Lion in July 2012. Although, it's been available
on iOS for quite some time, many hope Apple will announce improvements
to Notification Center with iOS 7.
