| Subject: 'YouSearch for NC' Lets You Search YouTube Right From Notification Center Mon Jul 01, 2013 12:30 pm | |
| If you’re a YouTube addict, and many of us are (myself included), then you might want an easier way to search for YouTube videos in iOS. A new free Notification Center widget dubbed YouSearch for NC by iOS developer maximehip will let you search for YouTube videos right from Notification Center. Shown above, the widget adds a search bar to Notification Center with a YouTube icon inside of the left side of the widget. As you type, your text will be red, symbolic to YouTube. When you tap on search, Mobile Safari will launch and then load all of the video search results that match your query. Unfortunately, the widget doesn't open the YouTube application if you have it installed, which would be preferred. Because the add-on is a widget for Notification Center, you will need to enable it from the Notifications preferences pane in the Settings application by dragging it into Notification Center. You can also do the opposite to disable the widget on demand. Simply drag the widget out of Notification Center to disable it. There are no other options to configure. If you would like to give YouSearch for NC a try, you will find it in Cydia’s ModMyi repository absolutely free! |
