Apple Backs Red Cross to Support Storm-Ravaged Philippines Redcross

In the tragic wake of Typhoon Haiyan's impact on the Philippines, Apple is stepping up to support the Red Cross in its efforts to bring aid and humanitarian relief to people across the storm-ravaged region.

More than 10,000 people are thought to have perished during and immediately after the storm's landfall.

Effective immediately, Apple is accepting digital donations for the American Red Cross. The effort is detailed on the front page of Apple's website, although users can only make donations through iTunes.
