WHY VOLCANO IS THE MOST ADVANCED HARDWARE CUSTOM MADE FOR CHINESE PHONES?

Volcano Hardware Advantages

1.Digital resistance

It
achieves to pull up/down any resistor, this performs important role
when detecting USB definition. It can analyze the accurate resistance
value of USB D+ pinout thus to define USB definition precisely. At the
same time, the functions of analysis ear-pin, GND and VCC are accurate
too. Our box can detect phone connector GND and VCC accurately even
without power supply from clippers, which means to realize detection and
phone Read/Write possible when phone connector has VCC and GND
definition at the same time without clippers. This is exclusively on
Volcano. It’s impossible to collect and analyze analog data when there
is no digital resistance.

2. completely GND and VCC control functions

After
years of practice we found out that box would have problems of no GND
and VCC hardware design. Because many phones can’t work normally without
GND and VCC, especially for MSTAR cpu phones. If you cannot find
phone’s charger-pin accurately and set VCC definition to it, phone will
not respond to Read/Write operation at all. When setting higher level to
general SCM can only provide the current of 20 Ma. Firstly, there is no
way to find out phone charger-pin; secondly, even when you know
charger-pin and set it to higher level, phone will directly reduce it
because of heavy current, as a result, it fails to play the role of
higher level as well as abnormal of phone detection/read/write
operations. All these experience has been proved and tested over years.
Volcano’s upper panel controls phone connector GND and VCC, which
ensures phone to work normally and coordinate with box software analysis
to detect charger-pin accurately. This function can be used to produce
phone charger cable too. Other box can’t provide standing current over
30Ma for they only have one PCB panel. MSTAR cpu phones are difficult to
achieve Read and Write on other boxes

3. set pull up/down to any pinout

You
can set any pinout up/down with a variable resistance value. Lots of
dead phones TX connector is OC portal, which means higher level is
open-collector, it will output lower level if you don’t set pull-up
resistor to TX. Volcano box controls flexible pull-up resistor value by
changing the resistance. For example, some OM cpu phones can’t
Read/Write normally if you do not set 5-10K pull-up resistor. Many other
phones can’t detect or Read/Write without this functions. This is
exclusively on Volcano and no other box has this function.

4. volcano box selects resistor value from390 ohm -800K

Short
two pins with resistor function can realize phone enter downloading
mode, or other special purposes. This is exclusively on Volcano and no
other box has this function.

5. Eagle Eye

EagleEye
is used for measurements of Current. Its built-in Analog Metter and
digital. It can show you how much MILLIAMPERE Mobile using. This is
exclusively on Volcano and no other box has this function.

6. Internal powerful CPLD

Its
internal powerful CPLD provides filtered signal output. All the high
frequency interference pulse has no access to phone nor to computer,
thus it ensures no wrong interference between phone and computer, to
make it work more stably. Meanwhile, CPLD also offers more powerful
driving ability as well as a wider range of voltage, making read/write
to a higher rate of success. It will be very worse if box has no CPLD
like read/write stability, immunity and driving ability etc.

7.better software and hardware protected design

This
ensures heavy output current from hardware design, but also guarantees
it will not burn-out box or phone. That is because instant software
current real-time monitoring as a watchdog protection, long time
protection of thermal relay and over current resistance protection
ensure the output current can be stabilized 500 Ma but never over 700Ma.
Each pin has been designed for overvoltage protection and negative
pressure protection. This is exclusively on Volcano and no other box has
this function.

8. With a more reasonable USB pathway design

Volcano
core IC on-resistance value is only 3 ohm while other box uses more
than dozens of ohm. Excessive access of resistance will inevitably cause
phone USB work unstably or even not work completely. Other box uses
excessive resistance will not support some phones read/write and this is
confirmed by the practice already.

9. test battery

This
function is used to have schematics for making your own cables for
customers. For example, make chargers, earphone cables etc. This is
exclusively on Volcano and no other box has this function.

How to format Android phones ?

1.Go to Mtk tab
2.Select Built-in-Boot-10(v7.1216)(65xx_Android)
3.Untick Auto Detect pinouts
4.Tick on USBMODE
5.Click on Read info
6.Click on run
7.When it’s say “Analysis for usb port, please insert phone usb cable”
8.PLUG Mobile with NORMAL usb cable to computer port ( With boot keys if needed and make sure drivers are installed )
9.When it’s read info complete. You can see at the end FORMAT ADDRESS like this
10.Format addr:0x428E8000 –format Length:0xE4200
11.Now click on Format
12.Click on yes
13.Now format windows will open. You have to write your mobile’s format address into format windows start address and format length. for example you have format address of your mobile this Format addr:0x428E8000 –format Length:0xE4200 which you read from readinfo just write 428E8000 into start address(hex) box and write E4200 in format length(hex) box. Keep in mind you don’t have to write “0x” for example if you see in log by reading info Format addr:0x428E8000 –format Length:0xE4200 then you just write 428E8000 this do not write complete address with “0x” just leave “0x” and write rest all
14.After writing Format address ( without “0x” ) Click on CUSTOMIZE
15.When it’s say “Analysis for usb port, please insert phone usb cable”
16.PLUG Mobile with NORMAL usb cable to computer port ( With boot keys if needed and make sure drivers are installed )
17.Please wait till software says Flash Erasing Complete !!
18.Now check your phone if after format phone ask you for code please turn it off and check is there mmc or sim inside or not. If sim or mmc inside please takeout and power on your phone it will not ask you for code again. If sim and mcc not inside please insert it and power on your phone it will not ask you for code again.
19.Your phone is done. Make sure you Read Full flash file as back for Emergency. If some thing happen bad you can write back your readed flash file so your phone will come back to previous state !!

9- mobile connect with volcano jig but volcano phone cable remove to volcano
10- go to detect tab select spd
11- select d-, d+ and gnd manual and set pinout(where it's detect before)
12- go to spd tab
13- R/W IMEI chooses com
14- untick auto detect pinout
15- press these key from keybord to enable imei alt+ctrl+i
16- select boot 6530
17-click on write imei
18-click run
19-new window will be open
20 -choose usb
21-write imei in box
22-click on write imei
23-then connect volcano jig cable jack in volcano

IF WRITE IMEI WITH USB CABLE DISSCONNECT USB + SUPPLY VCC WORK WITH ONLY THREE WiRE D+ D- GND

if write imei usb with usb cable and boot key mobile, dissconect usb + supply (vcc)
usb cable connect only D+ D- GND
1-go to spd tab
2-R/W IMEI chooses com
3-untick auto detect pinout
4-press these key from keybord to enable imei alt+ctrl+i
5-click on write imei
6-click run
7-new window will be open
8-choose usb NOT SELECT ANY COM PORT
9-write imei in box
10-click on write imei
11-then connect press mobile boot key and inseri usb(connect only three
wire usb D+ D- GND VCC +SUPPLY NOT CONNECT) AFTER 10 15 SEC YOUR
ANY SPD IMEI WRITE

Imei changing is illegal – imei repairing or changing is only for repairing original only !!

Coolsand/Rda Read flash improved. it's strongly recommend Read Flash
again from working phone from Boot_B and Boot_Auto. Save file with both
names like X202 Boot Auto.bin and X202Boot B.bin. like this you will

For 8853c you have to read flash from Boot Auto and Write it from
Boot_B. In next upcoming updates we will make it Auto will not need to

Some Friend saying coolsand reading and writing Speed is little slow. so
Please select 1843200 from baud rate you will see the difference.

if some how read full flash failed with boot b then select boot auto and it will read complete flash file.

Simply Read Flash file. Right after flash file read. Save it. Check logs you can see Privacy code !!

How to read Recovery Bin ?

Detect phone from Detect tab
Set pinout
go to Mtk tab
Select Boot 12
Click on One-key Root
Untick Auto Detect Pinout
From options Select Recovery
Select Run
Write file name and click on Save ( Recovery.Bin )
Wait... let it complete

you will have file where you save !!

How To Extract & Repack Recovery Bin File ?

Go to MTK Tab
Click on One-Key Root
Untick Auto Detect Pinouts
From options Select Boot&Rec Tools
Click on Run
New Windows will open
Click Select Open
Select Your readed Recovery Bin File
Click on Split file

Now you have Extracted Recovery Bin File

Go to Same Folder where you had save Recovery Bin file
You have Folder there now you can edit files... After editing now

Click on Merge File

Now you have Custom/Edited Recovery Bin file and Ready to Flash !!!

Little Guide :

What is it ?
in MTK Android there is many Partitions in your phone. like Preloader,
Recovery, Bootimg etc..... if somehow Preloader get Corrupted then you
phone will not able to DETECT WITH PC !!! in other words you will have
phone with BOOT DEAD.

How Preloader get corrupted ?
There could be few reasons but main reason could be that someone or you
Flash your complete phone (include Preloader) with wrong files or with
wrong ver. Also there could be reason someone Delete Preloader or you
Deleted.

How could i know my phone have preloader dead ?

Preloader can be dead if some one Flash it wrong and after flash your mobile will not detect with pc any more. for confirm
open device manager
take battery out from phone
insert usb
insert battery
and check is computer detecting any device
If it's not detect then you have phone which Preloader is dead AKA Boot Dead

How can i repair it ?

you have to disassemble your phone and take pcb out. check there should
be some Golden points. check these points there should be written on
them Rx,Tx,GND,Vcc,Vcharge etc... check there should be written "COLO" or "KOLO" or "KCOLO" you have to Sold that point with GND After Sold Attach usb now your phone will detect with USB !! and now ready to Flash.
In some phones "COLO" or "KOLO" or "KCOLO" not
written for those type of phones you have to test all points one by one
Short Golden point with GND and attach usb cable which point short with
gnd can able to detect your phone by pc is Force Preloader Mode Test Point !! Keep in mind Don't Short Vcc,Vcharge or any other pin which have 4.x Volts also i had tested "Colo" or "Kolo" or "KCOLO" don't have any kind of volts..

What you have to do it Simply Plug usb cable and click on Partition from Volcano soft and run it. it will tell you is your Phone Supported for SAFE format / ROOT etc or not. If software tell you is safe it will become log in GREEN color and if software tell you is not safe it will show you log in RED color. so here we start...

If software software show you log like this in GREEN COLOR.... This mean your phone is Supported for SAFE Root, format etc..

Download & Run 2.1.8
click on SPD
Select 6820
Select One Key Root
Select Partition
untick auto pinout
Plug normal usb cable to mobile in powered on condition
Usb debug must be Enabled
Click on run.
wait few sec it will Show you Logs as i describe above

Q: what is usefull if phone have pattern lock or any other problem and it have not usb debug Enabled then this option is useless how we can do that ?

A: Yes it's true that if phone have pattern lock or any other problem and usb debug not Enabled this function is really useless but infact it's not useless. many time we can't found factory files and many time Same working phone we can get from market so here is hint . Take same working phone, Should be 100% same, plug phone with usb and check is it Safe to format or not. if it's safe then you can do it without any problem and if phone is not safe then you simply don't do. so basically we make this function just to verify is phone is SAFE for format, Root etc or not...

Q: I plug phone but software not recognized or Software hang on "<<" then what to do ?

A: Perform these Steps

MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS CONNECTED IN POWERED ON CONDITION AND USB DEBUG ENABLED AND ADB ANDROID DRIVERS ARE INSTALLED AND YOU CAN SEE ADB ANDROID PHONE IN DEVICE MANGER !!!!!!

go to start
go to run
type "CMD"
clck on run
( go to Volcanobox 2.1.8 Folder/Tools ) for exmaple you have Volcano 2.1.8 in C: Drive so you should type this these commands. ( write all command without "" and right after every command you should press Enter button from keyboard)

"C:\" ( Press Enter )

it will become here
C:/>

then type
"cd VolcanoTool_v2.1.8\tools" ( Press Enter )
it will become here

C:/VolcanoTool_v2.1.8\tools>

then type
"adb devices"
now check what it's show to you
if it's show like this

* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *

this mean your phone is not detecting by your computer's ADB.exe

if it's show like this

Type this command
"adb kill-server" ( press enter button )
and again
"adb kill-server" ( press enter button )

so here you have to do totally two different ways to work with it.
so we will start

if you phone not detecting by your computer's ADB.exe then you have to do this
Keep phone connected

go to ( in windows Explorer )

C:\Documents and Settings\"Your name"\.android ( Your name should be your profile name here for exmaple "Jhon", "Anglina" etc )

there you can see some files
check do you have "adb_usb.ini" file in that folder or not

If you have then open it in note pad if not then create new file named "adb_usb.ini" and save it.

Be sure you save .INI extension not safe in any other format

for confirm open C: Drive in Windows Explorer
go to Tools
click on Folder Options
click on view
Untick Hide extension for known file type
click on ok
now see that file is exactly "adb_usb.ini" be sure it's not "adb_usb.ini.txt" etc
so as you done open it in note pad, ( if you already have this file then don't create new one just open it )
type this in new line and save it
"0x1782" ( write without "" )
so after you save file

open CMD again ( which already opened previously )

Type these commands

"adb kill-server" ( press enter button )
and again
"adb kill-server" ( press enter button )

now type
"adb devices" ( press enter button )

now it should show like this

* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
List of devices attached

now you are ready to go.

so right after this disconnect phone and connect it again and type these commands

"adb kill-server" ( press enter )
