| ESPN today officially launched the availability of ESPN Deportes and ESPNEWS on iOS and AppleTV. Both are accessible via WatchESPN.com as well as on iOS and Apple TV via the WatchESPN app for those who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider. Fans will now be able to access the Spanish-language sports network as well as the 24/7 news and information network in addition to others currently available via WatchESPN, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3 and ESPN Goal Line/Buzzer Beater. Charter customers will have access to ESPN Deportes and ESPNEWS later this week.“ESPN Deportes and ESPNEWS serve different audiences, and with today’s launch on WatchESPN, we’re now able to deliver both networks across all screens to their respective viewers,” said David Preschlack, executive vice president, Disney and ESPN Media Networks. “At the same time, we are building greater value to the multichannel video subscription for customers of our distributors by adding a wider range of networks available on WatchESPN.” The launch debuts just in time for the second leg of Spain’s Supercopa Final between Barcelona and Atlético Madrid live on ESPN Deportes at 5 p.m. ET tonight. An English-language feed to the match will also be available to fans on ESPN3. |
