A new picture claims to show trays of batteries to be used for Apple’s next flagship iPhone, fresh off the assembly line. The picture suggests large scale production of the device could be around the corner. The photo which was revealed by the folks over at
Nowhereelse.fr comes as Apple is widely expected to launch its next iPhone in September or October, about a year after the debut of the iPhone 5.
The latest leak purportedly shows batteries produced for the “iPhone 5S” before they have been equipped with the appropriate connector. They also seem to be unlabeled so information regarding their capacity and voltage remains unknown. Although the batteries appear to be about the same size and dimensions as the current iPhone 5 battery, we can’t gage the authenticity of the picture, as the batteries could be intended for a slew of other devices.
The recent influx of part leaks claimed to be for Apple’s next-gen iPhone suggest that supplies are ramping up in preparation for full-scale production of the device. The parts leaked thus far suggest that the next-gen iPhone will only tout slightly improved internals with largely the same design. We’ll have to wait for more concrete evidence to be more certain though.
